The Transition Accelerator

The Transition Accelerator,ÌýaÌýpan-Canadian registered charity focused on reaching net-zero while solving other societal challenges, is looking to collaborate withÌýresearchers across the country interested in developing transformational pathways to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve this, the charity has launched a research funding opportunity, and will be awarding successful applicants with small grants to support net-zero pathway scoping studies.

AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ The Opportunity

  • Seeking submissions for projects that can help define credible, compelling, and capable pathways to net-zero across Canada. These projects should be anchored in The Transition Accelerator’s pathways methodology as outlined in theÌý

  • Up to three proposals will be selected and awarded a maximum of $20,000 each. These scoping studies are an entry point to potential long-term collaboration with the Transition Accelerator to fully develop novel pathways.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be affiliated with a Canadian university, research institution or think tank.ÌýApplications may involve investigators at more than one institution.

  • The charity welcomes proposals that apply the Transition Accelerator methodology in domains that fall inside or across the existing priorities, which are outlined .Ìý

  • There is no formal application form, but the applicants will need to submit a short project proposal by Monday, May 2, 2022.
