Publish for Free in PLOS Biology

PLOS Biology is APC Free
You can now publish in at no cost to yourself. PLOS Biology, the flagship journal in life sciences and biological studies from is now APC () free through an agreement with AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Libraries. As part of this initiative, all AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ researchers serving as corresponding authors will have their fees waived when publishing in PLOS Biology. The goal of this agreement is to make open access publishing options more accessible to AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Authors.
How Does it Work?
When submitting your publication in PLOS Biology, indicate your AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ institutional affiliation in the submission system and you won’t be invoiced for any article processing fees if you are the corresponding author.
If the corresponding author is not part of AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ or an institution with a PLOS Biology agreement, but at least one of the manuscript’s co-authors is affiliated, a 25% discount is available towards the non-member publishing fee.
