Robyn McCallum, President

Hello, my name is Robyn McCallum, and I will be serving as President in the upcoming academic year.Ìý I am looking forward to this position and working with our newly elected Vice-Presidents.

I am from a family farm in Tabusintac, New Brunswick, but began my own farm last year.Ìý I am interested in corn production and propagate grape cuttings in my spare time.Ìý In the summer, I enjoy showing draft horses.

In May 2013, I will be graduating with a B.Sc. (Animal Science Major, Plant Science Minor), and will be starting my M.Sc. on campus.Ìý I am interested in sustainable agriculture, native bees, and agricultural education.

In the future, I hope to farm full-time, as well as create an education program for agriculture in New Brunswick.

Rebecca O’Connell, VP Finance

Hey everyone, my name is Rebecca O’Connell and this is my second year as VP Finance.Ìý I am entering my fourth year in Agricultural Business, with a minor in Animal Science.

I am from a family farm near Truro, and am involved extensively in the agricultural industry.Ìý I have always been involved in 4H and recently attended an International Agri-Business competition in Guelph.

I enjoy working with students, faculty and staff across campus.Ìý I am the main contact for club budgets and College Royal.Ìý

Harris Bakker, VP Administration

My name is Harris Bakker and I too am entering my second year on the DASA executive.Ìý I hail from the wondrous province of New Brunswick.Ìý

I am entering my third year in Plant Science and am passionate about farming- particularly when it comes to potatoes.Ìý I am a member of the Woodsmen Team.Ìý

I keep everyone else in line on the executive, through keeping minutes and contributing to many committees around campus.Ìý I have also been known to break into song and dance from the 30s era on occasion.

I am looking forward to working with everyone again for another year.

Scott Butler, VP External Affairs

My name is Scott Butler.Ìý Some may know me from having successfully led Fraser House to become House Cup Champions this year. ÌýI am entering my third year in Animal Science and Agricultural Business. ÌýI am excited for the challenge of VP External

One of my best quirks is that I know way too many facts about Antigonish- my home town.Ìý It is in this town that I do what I love best- farming.ÌýÌýÌý

I know my enthusiasm for school spirit will serve me well in this position and I look forward to working with the other executive members.

Jessica Compagnon, VP Internal Affairs

My name is Jessica Compagnon and I am from Kingston, NS.Ìý I am currently studying Animal Science, with a minor in Genetics and Molecular Biology.Ìý

I have previously served as Chapman House President and have been a member of the Pre-Vet Club and Cross Country.Ìý

I love getting involved on campus and raising school spirit.Ìý These attributes will serve me well in VP Internal and I look forward to working with you all.
