Rams Weekend Recap

RAMS Weekend Recap – Nov. 15-17

Badminton – Nov. 15-16 –

The Dal AC Badminton Team traveled to the for their first tournament of the season to compete against UKC, Mount A, and USA. The team had a 4th place finish but had some standout matches by Kyle Bauld who placed 2nd in the Men’s Singles A draw.

MSA - Kyle Bauld - 2nd place - 7 points
LSA - Cindy Yu - 4th place - 3 points
MDA - Kyle Bauld/Daylon Tan - 3rd place - 5 points
LDA - Sarah Pepperdine/Cindy Yu - 4th - 3 points
XDA - Daylon Tan/Sarah Pepperdine - 3rd place - 5 points

MSB - Garrett Cotton - 4th place - 3 points
LSB - Emily Lim - 4th place - 3 points
MDB - Adrian Bent/Garrett Cotton - 4th place - 3 points
LDB - Emily Lim/Danni LI - 3rd place - 5 points
XDB - Adrian Bent/Danni LI - 3rd place - 5 points

The team will now travel to Mount A in Sackville, NB on Nov. 23 for the final event of the fall season.

Equestrian – Nov. 17 – STFX Show (Creekside Equestrian Center)

DAL AC brings home the grand champion team ribbon yet again with a team score of 363!

Individual reserve high point rider of the day - Cailin Lake with a combined score of 152.

This wraps up the fall season for the RAMS who will be looking to continue their dominant ways in the winter semester.

Women’s Volleyball - November 17 – DAL AC vs

The RAMS took to the road for a meeting with USA and did not disappoint. The dragons pushed back with a strong effort in the second set after dropping the first 25-5 but in the end DAL AC took the match 25-5, 25-23, 25-20.  Mariah Putnam had a strong outing with 8 service aces and 4 kills. DAL AC is set to host STU on November 24th at the Langille Athletic Centre. 

DAL AC Athletes of the Week

Kyle Bauld (Badminton)
Kyle had a strong first tournament of the season placing second in Men’s A Singles and 3rd in Men’s A Doubles with his partner Daylon Tan. His only loss in singles came to last years CCAA National Doubles Silver Medalist, Bryce Mason, who he will be looking to challenge as the season progresses.

Cailin Lake (Equestrian)

Cailin Lake is this week’s female athlete of the week earning Individual reserve high point rider of the day with a combined score of 152 at the STFX show hosted at the Creekside Equestrian Centre.
