The Faculty of Health Professions congratulates this year's Academic All-Canadians
On January 29, thirty-three students from the Faculty of Health Professions were recognized as CIS Academic All-Canadians - students who maintain a GPA of at least 80 percent while competing in a varsity sport - at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿'s 16th annual Academic All-Canadian luncheon.Ìý Competing at this level while maintaining high academic standing takes hard work, dedication and the support of those around you - including academic mentors.Ìý Each student honouree at the event was encouraged to invite a faculty member who they felt had made a vital contribution to their success.
The Faculty of Health Professions was well represented, with the largest number of Academic All-Canadians from a single Faculty at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿.Ìý This year's event was especially significant for the School of Health Sciences, with nuclear medicine technology student Jonny Doucett being the first from the School to earn the honour.Ìý He was accompanied to the event by his faculty mentor Trish Munro.
