Bermuda Core

In 1972, Researchers from AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ drilled an 800m deep rock core on the northeastern part of the island of Bermuda. The core penetrated through 36 m of Pliestocene-aged limestone followed by 772m of volcanic igneous units dating to 33 million years ago. Materials from this core have been used in numerous publications and theses, listed below.  The core is available for study and limited sampling.
