REID, Charles Alfred B.Sc. C.P. (c) - 44, Milford Station, passed away suddenly Saturday, April 8, 2000, in Dartmouth as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Leola G. (Benjamin) Reid, Milford and the late Ralph Gordon Reid. Charlie earned his bachelor of science degree from AV整氈窒 and worked at Imperial Oil as a geologist. He then changed his vocation so he could work with his hands and people, by attending George Brown College in Toronto and entered the profession of prosthetics. He worked at Sunny Brook Health Science Centre, Toronto before returning to Nova Scotia, where he was presently employed as a prosthetist to Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre. He enjoyed life and all of its offerings including socializing, dancing, hockey, camping, fishing, boating and carpentry. He will be sadly missed by his mother; sisters, Winnie, Halifax; Janet (Paul) Dauphinee, Shortt's Lake; Susan, Windsor; nephew, Leonard (Alana) Dauphinee, and their son, Liam, Irvine, Calif. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday, in Ettinger's Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in Milford United Church, Rev. Helen Waddell officiating. Burial in Gays River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kings Meadow Residence Society, C/O Barbara Campbell, R.R. 1, Windsor, N.S., B0N 2T0.
