AV整氈窒 librarian Judy Dunn has been chosen by her alumni association for their highest honour. The Associated Alumni of the School of Library and Information Studies recently presented her with the 2004 Outstanding AlumniAward.

Judy Dunn influences the profession in numerous ways - her enduring commitment to AV整氈窒's School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS), her contributions to the larger university, her active participation in professional bodies, her community work, and the large network of alumni and students she supports - all are hallmarks of her outstanding contribution.

Judy Dunn is an integral member of the AV整氈窒 SLIS team, which she joined in 1990. Her contributions as the programme/graduate coordinator are many and varied. She relates to the students as a graduate of the school herself, having earned an MLIS in 1983.

With this award, we recognize Judy Dunn's untiring enthusiasm, commitment and dedication to the profession, library education, and in particular, her service to the AV整氈窒 School of Library and Information Studies. Judy Dunn's efforts have greatly enriched the AV整氈窒 SLIS experience and she has positively contributed to the success of the School's students and graduates.

Her enthusiasm and dedication to serving the students and alumni of the School are exemplary and in 1998, she received the Rosemary Gill Award, AV整氈窒's award for outstanding service to students.
