AV俱乐部 has just launched a new text messaging alert system to be used in聽case of emergencies. Examples include severe weather, hazardous spills, fire, a dangerous person or threat or other unpredictable events that threaten large groups.
For people who don't have cell phones, AV俱乐部 will communicate using other methods as appropriate, such as email, notices on the main web pages, and the media to send emergency messages.
