“This is the first year we've let societies plan their own events and we've had a huge response from societies this year as a result," says Mr. Osmond.
The Dal Swing Society will be offering a free dance lesson on Monday, Sept. 1 at Studley Gymnasium and the Art Gallery Society will be holding tours and live performances on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 7 to 9 p.m. in the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Art Gallery.
“There’s something for everyone here," says an enthusiastic Mr. Osmond.
Another highlight is the DSU Carnival on Monday, Sept. 1, starting at 1 p.m. in the McInnes Room in the SUB. There will be free food and prize giveaways as well as a chance for students to rock out on Rock Band or play Dance Dance Revolution.
The big ticket concert on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m. features the Halifax band Wintersleep. The concert takes place on the soccer field on Sexton campus. Â
"If you're questioning something, give it a shot anyway, you really have nothing to lose, says Mr. Osmond.
