Curtis Dillon is in the unusual position of finishing four years of university while starting high school.
High School Musical, that is. The 21-year-old Dartmouth native has been cast as Jason, one of the students from East High and a member of the Wildcats basketball team, in Neptune Theatres production of the hit Disney musical.
Its pretty exhausting, but it will definitely be worth it, says Mr. Dillon, a math major who has been active as an instructorwith the student-run DalDance Society. Hes currently in the midst of daily performances at the same time that classes finish and exams are scheduled. People in the cast think Im crazyas soon as a break is called, Im right into the books.
Following graduation, Mr. Dillon planned to dedicate a few years for dance before returning to university to become a teacher. With High School Musical, that plan shifted into gear just a little sooner than he anticipated.
Its a great start to what I want to do; its hard to balance with school and its a lot to take in, but its been amazing.
