Ellen Chappell, Cross Country
Fourth-year runner Ellen Chappell is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Chappell was the first AUS finisher across the line at the StFX AUS-RSEQ Interlock meet this past weekend. In her fastest race of the season thus far, Chappell placed third with a time of 22:00.48, just 20 seconds behind first to lead the Tigers to a second place team finish.
A sustainability student, Ellen is from Calgary, AB.

Sven Stammberger, Basketball
Second-year forward Sven Stammberger is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Stammberger scored 18 points and pulled down 21 rebounds in two games at the StFX Invitational tournament this past weekend. He had seven points and 11 rebounds in the Tigers 74-61 loss to Cape Breton Friday night. On Saturday, he had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers 81-58 victory of the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics. Stammberger was named to the tournament all-star team for his efforts.
A native of Kensington, PEI, Sven is a science student.
