(Halifax, N.S.) AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ presents our G2 Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 22, 2015.
Phoebe Lenderyou, Swimming
Second-year swimmer Phoebe Lenderyou is this week’s G2 Female Athlete of the Week.
Phoebe had a tremendous weekend, winning six races at the Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿.
She won and set new AUS records in the 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke events. She broke her previous record in the 100m backstroke by nearly two seconds, ranking her swim as the 32nd best time in world this year in that event. She is currently ranked first in the CIS in the 50m and 200m backstroke events and second in the 100m backstroke.
She also won the 50m butterfly and was part of the Tigers winning 400m medley and freestyle relays. Phoebe hit CIS qualifying times in all of her events this weekend and led the Tigers to a first place team finish at the meet.
Phoebe is from Newcastle, England, and is a management student.

Phil Gadoury, Hockey
First-year forward Phil Gadoury is this week’s G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Phil had a hat trick in Friday night’s 6-3 victory over the visiting UPEI Panthers. He scored the Tigers third goal of the evening on a power play midway through the first, giving the Tigers a 3-1. He followed up with two more goals in the second period; one at even strength and the last while the Tigers were short-handed.
Currently in second place in AUS scoring, this was his second hat trick of the season so far.
A native of Montreal Q.C., Phil is a commerce student.
