(Halifax, N.S.) - AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 17, 2019.
Isabel Sarty, Swimming
Third-year swimmer Isabel Sarty is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.
Isabel led the Tigers to a team victory at the 2019 Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet over the weekend.
She won the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events and was second at the 400m distance. She also played a key role in the Tigers 400m and 800m freestyle relay wins and their second-place finish in the 400m medley relay.
Isabel set new AV¾ãÀÖ²¿, AUS and Swim Nova Scotia senior records twice in the 50m freestyle and once in the 100m freestyle and just missed setting a new AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ 200m freestyle record by a mere one tenth of a second.
A neuroscience student, Isabel is from Halifax, N.S.

Jordan Wilson, Basketball
Fifth-year forward Jordan Wilson is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.
Jordan led the Tigers to a two-game sweep of the UPEI Panthers over the weekend.
He recorded a double-double in Friday night’s 82-53 victory, scoring 14 points and snaring 10 rebounds, seven of them in the offensive end. He earned Subway Player of the Game honours in the win.
Jordan was hot again on Saturday, scoring eight points and collecting six rebounds in just 16 minutes of play in the Tigers 89-44 win.
A native of Nassau Bahamas., Jordan is a recreation management student.
