Grace Beer, Hockey
First-year goaltender Grace Beer is this week’s female PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.
Grace led the Tigers to two wins over the weekend.
She made 25 saves and picked up an assist in the Tigers 3-2 win over the visiting Saint Mary’s Huskies Wednesday night at the Halifax Forum.
Grace was impressive again on Friday night, turning away 24 shots in the Tigers 6-2 defeat of the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville, New Brunswick.
In five games played, her record is now 4-1, with a .904 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average.
A recreation management student, Grace is from Oakville, Ont.

Hudson Grimshaw-Surette, Cross Country
Fifth-year runner Hudson Grimshaw-Surette is this week’s male PepsiCo Athlete of the Week.
Hudson led the Tigers to their third-straight AUS championship win on Saturday.
He was the first Tiger to cross the line at the 2022 Subway AUS Men’s Cross Country Championship, placing fourth with a time of 25:13 and earned AUS first team all-star honours in the process.
A native of Yarmouth, N.S., Hudson is an MSc. Physiotherapy student.
