Judicial review of landmark human rights ruling
Today the Liberal government filled for a judicial review of a human rights ruling that ordered the federal government to compensate First Nations children harmed by theÌýon-reserve child welfare system, up to $40,000 per child. Naiomi Metallic is available to provide comment on what this process will look like and how the review will impact the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal’s landmark ruling.
