Position Summary
I am looking for a research assistant for a CIHR funded project looking at the financial and governance arrangements of interdisciplinary primary health care teams in Nova Scotia. The tasks will be to develop a research protocol for submission to the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Research Ethics Board in early September. The position can potentially be extended for a longer period. The workload is an average of 15 hours per week, but flexibility on the part of the research assistant is expected.

Experience with the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ REB application system and experience with collaborative team work would be a great asset. The ideal candidate is flexible, able to adapt to unexpected situations, and is prepared to work in an erratic environment, work independently, while also working collaboratively.
Experience with qualitative research is also an asset. This includes literature reviews and the development of survey instruments. Other tasks will be assigned as they arise. The research assistant will work with a second research assistant in Manitoba, who is working on a submission to the University of Manitoba Research Ethics office.
Please send your electronic application to Dominika Wranik at dwl@dal.ca by Monday, June 24th, 2013. I will contact only those individuals, with whom I would like to further discuss the position. Thank you very much.
