Date: Friday, November 15, 2013
Time: 12:00 to 1:00 pm
Location: Killam Library, Room B400
Speaker: Darren Abramson
I show the potential for software to solve the following problem in Human-Computer Interaction: a mismatch between effective, but underused technologies, and educators' workflow. After describing the benefits of classroom response systems, I show why their adoption has been slow in higher education. I demonstrate a system designed to address this mismatch, and describe some evidence showing that it has the potential to leverage student BYOD effectively.
This series is open to all faculty, graduate students, and administrative staff working in the online environment.
