IDEALaw 2014: Aboriginal Rights: Reflect, Connect, Engage

The Social Activist Law Student Association of AV整氈窒 Law School invites you to attend IDEALaw 2014: A two-day conference running from the evening of Friday, January 24th to Saturday, January 25th, 2014. IDEALaw brings the legal and non-legal communities together to discuss social justice issues. This years theme is Aboriginal Rights, and will address residential schools, sentencing, murdered and missing indigenous women, Idle No More, and the role of women in indigenous leadership. Speakers include Linda McQuaig, Judge Anne Derrick, Naiomi Metallic, Kent Roach, and Patti Doyle-Bedwell. IDEALaw will also host Mikmaq artist Ursula Johnson. Sheila Watt-Cloutier, our keynote speaker, kicks off the conference with Climate Change and Human Rights on Friday, January 24th at 7 pm.
