Economics 2239A – TR 1605-1725 – September-December 2014
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Department of Economics
PAY RATE: As per CUPE contract
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Sessional Instructor duties are as follows: lecture to students (3 hours per week), hold office hours (3 hours per week), participate with instructors of other sections of the course in the development of a common course outline, exams, etc.; develop course units, exams, etc. not included in common part of course; grade assignments, mid-term tests and final exams in conjunction with other instructors/sections. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS: A Master’s degree in Economics is necessary as an absolute minimum qualification for all courses. In addition, work experience relevant to the course, a PhD degree in Economics and/or university-level teaching experience may be an asset. Applicants applying to the Department of Economics for the first time should provide the names of 3 references.
