Term Employment Opportunity in the Faculty of Management
The Faculty of Management require a Research Assistant (RA) for a new unit within the Faculty of Management, ~ CELNET - Collaboration, E-Learning and Networks Lab.
CELNET will promote cross-sectorial collaboration, e-learning and networks research, within the faculty, and also provide consulting and training to external organisations in the areas of virtual collaboration, social media and communication and other areas of interest to working professionals and organizations.
The RA must have skills/experience in website design and management, conducting systematic literature searches using library databases, using Excel spreadsheets, social media and experience in project management. They must be self-starters, have the ability to work independently and in a team setting, and have excellent skills in research methods, time management, and communication. They must have Master’s-level training in Research Methods; this position would be ideal for a second-year Master’s student, a Master’s graduate. The Research Assistant will report to CELNET Managing Director, Dr. Martine Durier-Copp and Academic/Research Director, Dr. Binod Sundararajan.
Under the direction of the Directors, the intern will be responsible for: developing an active inventory of users within the Faculty of Management; conducting the environmental scan; developing, maintaining, and monitoring the website; active use of social media for promotional purposes, and other tasks, as directed.
Term: July 13, 2015 - December 24, 2015 (26 weeks)
Hours: Full time position (37.5 hours/week) (37.5 hours/week)
Rate of Pay: $15.00 - $18.00/hour, plus vacation pay (based on qualifications and experience)
