PAY RATE:Ìý As per Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 2006.03, The Atlantic World, 1450-1650:Ìý European Colonization of the Americas, a second-year class scheduled for the Fall Term of the 2017-2018 academic year, 1 September to 31 December 2017, which explores the commercial and colonial expansion of Europe into the Americas. Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 16:05-17:25.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class, and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ìý Candidates must possess a PhD in History or its equivalent, or be registered in a PhD programme and have demonstrated excellence in teaching some aspect of early European exploration and settlement in the Americas. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
