General Announcements
Effective immediately, Bell Aliant calling cards can no longer be used to make calls from overseas countries.
Why?
- Canada Direct, a feature associated with the Bell Aliant Calling Cards, was decommissioned by the underlying provider due to a significant decline in usage.
What is the impact?
- The North American calling card access number, 1-800-555-1111 will continue to work in Canada and the US.
- Country-specific Canada Direct numbers are no longer in service, and therefore, cannot be used to access your calling card while overseas.
How do I ensure lower costs when I call from an overseas country?
- International Roaming plans are available for your mobile device. Contact the Wireless Concierge Services at 1-866-255-9110, or dal@mywirelessconcierge.ca at lease 3 business days prior to travel. For additional information, view by logging into myDal.
- Purchase a pre-paid calling card from the local service provider in the overseas country.
