Fall Term 2018: INDG/CANA 3400, Contemporary Indigenous Art, Monday/Wednesday, 1:05 pm-2:25 pm. This course examines a range of contemporary artistic expression by Indigenous people of Canada and the United States. Works examined have included painting, sculpture, hip hop, textile, and video. Focus is on how Indigenous artists respond to contemporary issues of identity, politics, and culture.
Work Assignment of the Position:
The part-time instructor will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the classes, including lectures, test preparation, evaluation and electronic submission of grades. The instructor is required to be available two hours per week for consultation with students. The instructor reports to the Chair of the Department.

Applicants should send an updated CV and a cover letter detailing relevant experience. A PhD in a relevant field and university level teaching experience is a benefit, as is relevant experience in the Indigenous Arts field.
