PART-TIME ACADEMIC POSTING

WORK ASSIGNMENT:Â PHYT 5103 Movement and Exercise Science (January 07, 2019 to April 26, 2019)
DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Position #1): The laboratory demonstrator/instructor will assist the course professor by teaching physical assessment, documentation, and treatment practical skills and techniques in the laboratory component of this course for Year I MSc PT students. The laboratory demonstrator/instructor will also be asked to act as an examiner in mid-term and final practical exams and evaluate the students' performance throughout the course and in these exams. Some additional hours may be required for preparation time and limited meeting time with the professor.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK (Position #2): The laboratory instructor will lead the laboratory component of PHYT 5103 in collaboration with the course professor. Teaching physical assessment, documentation, and treatment practical skills and techniques in the laboratory component of this course for Year I MSc PT students will be the focus. The laboratory instructor will also act as an examiner in mid-term and final practical exams and evaluate the students' performance throughout the course and in these exams. Some additional hours may be required for preparation time and limited meeting time with the professor.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION(S): Candidates must be licensed Physiotherapists. A Master's degree with a research focus in human movement science is preferred along with strong clinical expertise in the musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Physiotherapy
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement (hourly rate)
WORK ASSIGNMENT: PHYT 6108.12 – Integrated Practice (February 19, 2019 to May 31, 2019).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Numerous instructors will be required to assist the course leader by teaching practical skills and techniques in the laboratory of this 2nd year MScPT course. The level of instructor involvement will vary. For example, instructors may be involved in 1 or 2 labs per course or several labs per week. This will depend on the instructor's level of skill, type of expertise required, and availability. The instructor may also act as an examiner in the mid-term and final practical exams and evaluate the students' performance throughout the course and in these exams.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must be licensed Physiotherapists. A Master's degree and /or advanced continuing education courses preferred along with strong clinical expertise.
