Please note that due to necessary maintenance work, the following disruptions will occur this weekend.
- Killam Planned Power Shutdown Saturday 6 – 11 a.m.
Facilities Management will be shutting down the power at the Killam Library on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 for necessary electrical repairs from 6 – 11 a.m.
The following buildings will be affected as follows:
Killam Library – Essential Power Only – Restricted Access, Data Centre will still have full power
MacDonald Building - Essential Power Only – Restricted Access
Chemistry Building – No power – No Access Permitted
Studley gym – No Power – Locked
LMP – Full Generator Power, business as usual
Howe Hall – Full Generator Power, business as usual
University Club – Only Internet affected
The Chemistry Building will remain closed until air quality testing has deemed it safe for re-entry. This power shutdown cannot be delayed as the work is needed to maintain reliable electricity to all Halifax Campuses.

- LSC Power Shutdown Saturday 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Facilities Management will be shutting down the power to a panel in the main electrical vault at the LSC to install new breakers and ÌýÌýswitches. This outage will affect Biology/Earth Sciences, LSC Common Area including the Food Court, Loading Dock and Slowpoke area. This will take place on Saturday, Ìý¹ó±ð²ú°ù³Ü²¹°ù²â 16th from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

- Tupper-wide fumehood shutdown Friday, February 15-Tuesday February 19
Staff will locking out all 85 fume hoods in the Tupper on Friday February 15th Ìýin the morning. Ìý They will return Tues Feb 19th to unlock the fume hoods. This is to enable the replacement of the Strobic fans on the roof. There is a possibility the wind may not allow this work to take place, in which case it will be delayed.
