Posted by Health on December 21, 2020 in General Announcements

Want the opportunity to gain knowledge translation education and have your idea used by a knowledge mobilization network?

, AV整氈窒's Health Innovation Sandbox, is helping students learn more about science and health knowledge mobilization, while also giving them the opportunity to have their knowledge mobilization ideas implemented in the real-world.

The Knowledge Translation Health Innovation Challenge allows students the opportunity to participate in a real knowledge translation problem, put forth by Solutions for Kids in Pain (SKIP). SKIP is a newly formed knowledge mobilization network, based at AV整氈窒 and coled by Children's Healthcare Canada, that seeks to bridge the gap between current treatment practices and available evidencebased solutions for children's pain in Canadian health institutions.

This Challenge consists of four online (Teams) seminars in which students will learn more about SKIP and about knowledge translation techniques. Then, students will apply their knowledge and present their ideas to SKIP. The winning idea(s) will be implemented by SKIP!

Seminar dates are:

  • January 28 (3-4pm ADT)
  • February 11 (3-4:30pm ADT)
  • February 26 (3-4pm ADT)
  • March 11 (3-4pm ADT)

What you will gain:

  • Learn about knowledge translation from experts
  • Use techniques learned to apply your knowledge to a real-world knowledge translation challenge
