The Canadian Center for Vaccinology is in need of participants for a COVID-19 vaccine booster study.
What is the purpose of this study?
This study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the study vaccine VBI-2905a against the COVID-19 virus and variants of concern.
Who is eligible?
You can take part in this study if you:
1. Have received 2 doses of approved mRNA COVID-19 vaccine(s) (Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna) AND it has been at least 4 months since the second dose
2. Are 18-54 years old
3. Are available for all study visits
4. Are in good health
5. Are not pregnant and agree to practice adequate birth control if you are able to become pregnant
6. Have never tested positive for the viruses that cause COVID-19, HIV, hepatitis B or C
What will I have to do?
You will receive one dose of either the study vaccine VBI-2905a or a placebo at day 1, have 9 clinic visits and 1 telephone contact during a period of approximately 11 months.
There are no costs to you to be in the study. You will be reimbursed for travel/parking for each visit.
