As part of Dal's Ergonomics Week, which runs鈥疛anuary 23 鈥 27, 2023, Human Resources is pleased to collaborate with the School of Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development, and the Environmental Health and Safety Office to highlight resources related to ergonomics.
These can help you with your at-home work set up, 鈥痽our on-campus one, or with transitioning back and forth.鈥
Live and online sessions
Join the live and virtual 鈥溾 workshop with Joseph Ghosn from the Dal Physiotherapy Clinic
Join a live, interactive workshop: "Ergo on the Go: Solutions for Hybrid Work" with Dal Occupational Therapy students, available on multiple dates, all from 12 鈥 1 p.m. on MS Teams.
For those who want to deepen their learning about ergonomics, the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development offers an online course, and here are the steps to access it:

Explore a鈥痙emonstrating some of the specific aspects of what we used to call "office ergonomics," which really means all the computer work we find ourselves doing now.鈥 Check out the Dal Tiger figuring it all out.
Have your own virtual ergonomic assessment. Complete the鈥痶hrough the Environmental Health and Safety Office to be paired with an Occupational Therapy student who will remotely help determine how good your ergonomic set up is and give you some pointers on making the most of your current arrangement.
Tips
Consider these鈥痜or adults aged 18-64 years of age. Review how much you exercise, sit and, yes, sleep.
