It is with sadness that we share the passing of one of our team members, Steph Serre de St. Jean, who passed away in late January 2024. Steph is predeceased by his mother Mae, father Albert (Bob) and brother Eugene. He is survived by his siblings Evelyn, Robert (Karen), Katie, Pierre, and Andrew (Julie), nieces, nephews, and their children.
Steph was a long-time service technician who was part of several ITS teams, including the ITS Service Desk. Steph was a member of the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ family for almost 23 years having started in the summer of 2001.
Steph was a staunch environmentalist who loved racing sail boats and coming up with new and clever devices. He was always working on a project at home, and had a collection of Volvo cars, a motorcycle, several sailboats, a raised bed vegetable garden and built a landmark rock wall in front of his house.Â
He loved helping people with tech problems and made sure no one was forgotten. He will be sorely missed by his colleagues and friends.
Steph was noted to have salads all week for lunch, but on Friday’s he treated himself to a Donair so on Friday, February 16, the ITS team and his friends will be celebrating Steph by enjoying Donairs for lunch in his memory.
The campus flag will be lowered to half-mast.Â
