Maddison graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Sciences from AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ in 2021. Her Honours thesis aimed to quantify the expression of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2, the receptor for viral entry of SARS-CoV-2, in the lungs of patients with Cystic Fibrosis. Maddison completed a Master of Science in the Department of Pharmacology at AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ in 2023. Her Master's research identified biomarkers of frailty in the mouse kidney, exploring the impacts of frailty on xenobiotic and endobiotic metabolism. Maddison is continuing to pursue her interest in frailty and aging as a research assistant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine.
