Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Madeline received her BSc (Honours) in Kinesiology from AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ in 2021. She returned to pursue her MSc (Kinesiology), which she received in 2023. Her Master’s thesis project involved a 12-month intervention aimed to reduce sedentary time in older adults. As such, this project sparked her interest in geriatric research, with an emphasis on lifestyle behaviour intervention and cardiovascular health outcomes. Building off her skills, her current work with the Geriatric Medicine Research group involves understanding perspectives from patients and providers to develop informed education and physical activity programs for older adults and carrying out analyses on national databases to answer impactful research questions. Madeline plans to continue her education and peruse her PhD in the near future. In her spare time, Madeline is the Assistant Coach of the AV¾ãÀÖ²¿ Men’s and Women’s Varsity Swim Team.
