AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s two-year Environmental Studies (MES) program will give you the opportunity to create and share knowledge to generate positive change in the world.
You’ll choose a pressing issue related to resources, environment, or human wellbeing and the environment, and focus research and a thesis around your discoveries. The program’s balance of courses and peer interaction allows you to explore a broad range of issues.
Our School is one of the original and leading institutions in environmental management and capacity building in Canada and abroad. At our core is an interdisciplinary teaching and applied research program emphasizing rigorous inquiry and ethical practice as the foundation of responsible environmental and resource management. Efforts are devoted to addressing causes rather than symptoms and learning to anticipate and adapt to change.Ìý
Careers
A wide range of employers have sought graduates from our program, including municipal, federal or provincial government, environmental consulting, and NGOs such as Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and the United Nations Environment Programme.
Our thesis-based program is suited to pursuing doctoral studies, and careers in academic teaching and/ or research.
