Psychology and Neuroscience (MSc)

Why choose this program?
This program is designed as an apprenticeship program, allowing you to work closely with a faculty member who has agreed to supervise your research. Emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary research, scholarship, and independent thinking rather than on course work.
Choose from two streams of study:
Experimental Stream: Experimental Psychology is the study of human and animal behaviour and the neural mechanisms controlling this behaviour.
Neuroscience Stream: Neuroscience integrates psychology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy and other branches of the life sciences into a single discipline concerned with the structure and function of the brain.
Careers
Many graduates, with additional on-the-job training, enter careers in community and social services, human resources, residential care, student services, and forensic services, or continue to a PhD.
