Ocean of Data Challenge
Join the Ocean of Data Challenge by DeepSense, COVE, The PIER, and ShiftKey Labs for some creative collaboration and idea generation! This free event will kick off on Monday, June 10th at 6pm ADT with an introduction to the Challenge, presentations from experts, and the chance to ask questions to help idea exploration. Participants will be asked to submit videos on Sunday, June 23th, and judges will have a week to review submissions before announcing winners the following week.
This Data Challenge will invite participants to consider how the Halifax Harbour may respond to an unexpected event. Answer the ultimate question: What are the impacts of a rare event on the Halifax Harbour? We are inviting students at post-secondary institutions and recent graduates across Atlantic Canada to use vessel, ecosystem, and community data to examine how we can illuminate the significant role of the Halifax Harbour in many of our day to day lives through this Challenge.
