Recruiting Events

For several years, top Canadian employers have come to AV¾ãÀÖ²¿â€™s Faculty of Management to recruit top talent. These employers regularly advertise and visit campus with the sole purpose of attracting you as a prospective employee. 

Starting in September and ending in mid-November, the MCS Career Fest encompasses events such as employer information sessions, skill-building workshops, special off-campus career events, networking & recrutiment events, and more! Full event details and registration can be found on the as early as late July.

Employer information sessions

Our on-campus information sessions are the most traditional of recruiting events. Recruiters will host 30–90 minute sessions to speak about their organization and upcoming opportunities and to mingle with potential applicants. Attending an information session is a great way for you to learn about employment opportunities, meet hiring representatives and make a great first impression. 

The fall is a popular time for employers and recruiters from all industries to come on campus and network with students through Information Sessions.  Come to the sessions dressed to impress and prepared to engage with key employer representatives.

Industry-Specific Recruiting events

Management Career Services also coordinates industry-specific recruiting opportunities where employers from various industries are invited to engage with interested students. Examples include: 

  • Employer Information Sessions
  • Co-op Summer Social for 2nd year Commerce students
  • Industry Insights / Awareness Sessions (typically held during the summer semester)
  • Corporate Tour visits and associated activities such as practice interview or elevator pitch sessions
  • Panel discussions
  • In-class presentations and guest speakers
