Judith FisherIn January 2009, Judith began聽a 2-year Post Doctoral Fellowship with NELS ICE and the IMPART program led by Dr Ingrid Sketris. She聽graduated from University of Toronto with her PhD in Pharmacy in November 2008 after completing her MA in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. Prior to her graduate studies, Judith聽worked for 20 years as a community pharmacist in Ontario and British Columbia. Judith now works as the Manager of Drug Technology Assessment for聽Pharmaceutical Judith's research focused on the development of end of life research on medication use using existing data bases including Pharmacare and the Prescription Monitoring program. Her work is featyred in NELS News 4 and many publications. She also examined factors that describe persons dying of Alzheimer's disease as noted on page 4 of NELS News 3. 聽 |
Victor joined NELS ICE as a Post Doctoral Fellow in 2006-07 and聽 was as the Project Lead for ICE Project 4. Victor's research interest has been in this area of Palliative Care for Vulnerable Populations. He initially worked with the Health Association of African Canadians in Nova Scotia. In 2009, Victor was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland in the Faculty of Medicine, Division of Community Health and Humanities. Victor formed a research partnership with the Newfoundland and Labrador Association for the Deaf to examine palliative care and end of life care issues for the Deaf community.
