Career Path
When I was a student at Dal, I happened to become interested in information literacy and wanted to investigate it more in depth. This led me to take a masters thesis option. After this, I proceeded to a Ph.D. program to take my research further. After completing my doctoral degree, I became a lecturer in information science at Edith Cowan University in Australia. After three years there, I took an opportunity at Tokyo City University in Japan, where I am now an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Management. I teach courses in information management, supervise an upper year seminar, and contribute to technology, internationalization, and education policy initiatives.I am also serving as a Special Adviser to the Vice President to accelerate the university's internationalization strategy.
Information Management in Action
The MLIS degree made me realise that how we utilise information effectively and efficiently is important to be successful in the current information society. This perspective became a foundation of my professional career as a scholar and an educator of future information professionals.
