Studying online

All of our online courses use an internet-based learning system.

Completing a Master’s in a distance program can be challenging and isolating. We suggest you find like-minded students during your coursework who you can stay connected with once you begin your courses.

Students in the research thesis stream will conduct their research in close collaboration with their supervisor and committee. Most students communicate regularly with their supervisor via email, telephone, Teams or other virtual technology, and/or videoconferencing. The thesis defense may be conducted in person, online, by teleconference, or videoconference, depending upon your preference and available technology.

Studying on campus

Taking courses online offers you flexibility to schedule your day according to your preferences, and gives you the opportunity to study with colleagues from across the world.

Undertaking the program on campus can offer you the best of both worlds. You will also get in-person access to your research supervisor and facilities, other on-site graduate students, School of Occupational Therapy events, as well as on-site research opportunities. Teaching or research assistantships or tutoring work may be available for students on campus.
